Have you read Patrick Lencioni's book, "The 5 Dysfunctions of a Team"?  It is a must read for every business owner and executive.  “Why?” you ask.  Because it so plainly lays out the common keys that hold so many companies back from being “GREAT!”  So many companies achieve some level of success in spite of themselves.  But very few achieve the success they’re capable of because there is a lack of trust within the company.  “Trust” is a big part of the foundation that great companies are built upon.

The bottom line is that “Trust” is the bedrock of a successful company. It creates an environment where effective communication can happen. It reduces conflicts and makes it easier to resolve those conflicts that do pop up.  It enhances commitment throughout the organization.  It also promotes accountability which in turn allows the organization to focus on the results it desires.  All this is possible for any organization that creates a culture of trust that drives their success and ensures sustainable growth.
